FAQ’S

What is your current lead time?

15-30 days for most orders. Lead times are mostly related to current order volume and to a lesser extent, order size. Items found in the quick ship section will ship the next business day.

Why does my order still say “Processing”?

Orders will stay in “Processing” from the time they are received until they ship.

Can I get an update on my order?

Generally, there isn’t much to update. Some items such as a custom gun, house, engine or “insert cool custom thing here” have various construction milestones along the way that take time to reach. Holsters are different. Orders can go from “not even started” to “shipped” in a couple of hours, depending on order size. Again, lead times have more to do with volume of orders placed before yours than it does with all of the steps to build the order. Our process is pretty streamlined and quick.

If your order is within the first 2 weeks, no update will be provided. It takes a lot of time to track orders down in the production line just to give estimates. That slows everything down and isn’t productive. If your order is nearing 30 days, we will give an update. If its over 30 days, definitely send us an email and ask about your order. We rarely go over the long end of the lead time but sometimes shit happens and things get missed.

Can I pay for a rush order?

No. If you are in a jam, reach out to us. Sometimes we can work late to get something out quicker or we might have something similar in stock that would work. If you are about to deploy, your normal gun/holster broke right before a big match or a qualification for work, or some other reasonable circumstance why you might need a holster in a hurry, we might be able to help. But if you just really want something to go to the range or a match and didn’t plan ahead, that’s not going to be enough to convince us we need to stay late or delay other orders. Your match/class/classification isn’t more important than the other guys match/class/classification that ordered before you.

Why are all of these questions about lead times and order questions, are you always late or something?

No, Its because the biggest time waste we have is answering questions from people who didn’t read the lead times on their order before placing it….even though you have to check a box saying you agree to it before hand. Honestly this FAQ section probably won’t help those guys anyways. Sigh.. I need a Beer.

Beer Break?

Yes. *drinks beer*

Why don’t you have any Olight or Inforce or crimson trace compatible models?

Same reason we don’t offer holsters for Hi-Points. The quality levels on those lights are poor. It doesn’t make sense to build a high quality holster for a light that will inevitably fail requiring a new holster for a better light. We have an article about this in our HOLSTER TIPS section on our website.

Can you make a holster for something that isn’t listed on your drop down menus?

We aren’t a custom shop that will make one-off holsters, but there is sometimes overlap in model fit beyond whats listed. For example, any version of the Staccato P to date will work in our Staccato P, but we don’t list every version. Most STI/ Staccato models, as well as many other 2011’s, will work with one of the options we have listed. Another example is, Most Sig P320 versions also work with our P320X5 holsters. So it doesn’t hurt to email us and ask. This is also a great way for us to collect data on which models to add next.

Why do you have a gun listed as an option on one holster model but not another?

Each holster model and gun has a specific mold, and popularity between uses isn’t always equal. Many guns that are popular for competition use are not popular for concealed carry, as an example.

Which model is best for OWB concealed carry?

We no longer make dedicated OWB Concealed carry holsters. The Thunder Classic can work if worn with a jacket, but if concealment is a legitimate priority, IWB is king.

I tried out my holster but then decided I want to go with a different gun. Can I return it?

See return policy.

Can you make a holster in a color not listed?

Yes, Though there may be an additional cost depending on what it is. The colors we have listed are what we keep on hand at all times, but we have access to many other colors/ prints including full on custom prints. Custom prints generally cost more, alternate versions of certain colors (multicam arid for example) are usually the same as what is listed. Shoot an email over to Brent@hammerarmament.com for more details.

Why is your main customer service email a personal email rather than “orders” or “Customer service”?

Okay this isn’t really a frequently asked question but it’s worth mentioning. We want our customers to know who they are dealing with, and who they can count on. Brent handles all customer service issues himself. In the modern world, it’s all too common to have businesses that are disconnected from their customers with outsourced tech support and AI chat bots. We think that’s super fuckin lame.

I sent an email and never got a reply?

We typically answer emails within a couple hours. Sometimes the junk filter is extra hungry, sometimes they just get missed. Shit happens. But if we don’t get back to you within a day or two, hit us up again.

Do you offer LEO/First responder discounts?

We do not. Our focus is on maintaining reasonable prices for everyone in the face of constantly rising costs and we rarely run discounts. The two exceptions are a Active Military/veteran discount and the discount code sent automatically when you sign up for our newsletter.

Do you run sales or Promotions?

We only run 2 sales a year. An Independance day sale and a Black Friday sale. Newsletter subscribers get early access to sales and occasionally exclusive sales.

How do I get the Mil/veteran discount?

Send us an email.

Do you ship Internationally?

We do not.

I can’t find the oil filter location on my 1998 ford f-150, where is it?

Check the wheel wells. Those model years had remote mounted oil filters.

What is best in life?

To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And hear the lamentation of their women.

WTF is up with those last two questions?

Just trying to kill time while finishing this beer.

Do you have a phone number I can call?

Shoot an email over first and we can go from there. Every time we list the number in an obvious spot we get hammered with spam calls.
